Conformational influences of N2-methylation in chemotactic peptides

Physical and structural data on two of a series of related N-formyl methionine peptides are reported. The effects of peptide bond N-methylation on chemotactic response and on conformational properties observed in solution, in the solid state and by conformational energy calculations are described.
