Abstract:
A case of an anomalous accessory soleus muscle simulating a soft-tissue tumor anteromedial to the Achilles tendon is reported, and the litterature concerning anomalies of muscles is reviewed. Correct diagnosis can normally be revealed by computerized axial tomography.
