[Brain weight in relation to the maturity of the newborn infant]

Average cerebral weights were calculated in correlation to the age of gestation and birth weight in 84 hypotrophic and 219 normotrophic neonates. Correlation of cerebral weight and gestation age was significantly different in the both groups, correlation of cerebral weight and birth weight was parallel. Cerebral growth trend can be estimated in routine autopsies according these results.
