[Hysteroscopy-curettage under local anesthesia in the exploration of abnormal uterine bleeding]

Over a period of 2 years, the authors examined 191 women with metrorrhagia by hysteroscopy. They conclude that the hysteroscopic images are misleading, but that the endoscopy accurately guides the curettage and confirms that it is complete. It appears that prior hysterography is of no use and that the indications for this examination should decline with progress in endoscopy.
