    Erectile dysfunction may stem from central nervous system changes. Impotent patients showed altered electrodermal activity patterns during sleep stages, suggesting a neurological link to erectile failure and abnormal nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT).

    Background:

    • The causes of erectile failure are often unclear, even with nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) recordings.

    • To investigate the relationship between electrodermal activity patterns during sleep and erectile dysfunction.
    • To explore potential central nervous system involvement in erectile failure.
