    Background:

    • Mouse serum contains factors that can suppress lymphocyte activation.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To isolate and characterize an immunosuppressive component from mouse serum using protein A.
    • To investigate the role of this component in modulating lymphocyte activation.

    • Isolation of protein A-binding material from mouse serum via chromatography.
    • Assay of immunosuppressive activity on concanavalin A (Con A)- and lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated mouse spleen cells.
