Towards better delineation and complete excision of preauricular sinus
The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery
|June 1, 1983
Abstract:
Excision of preauricular sinus by conventional methods is prone to recurrences. The injection of methylene blue into the tract, followed by purse-string closure of its orifice three days prior to the operation, together with the addition of a posterior drain has resulted in only one recurrence out of the 34 sinuses excised. The cosmetic result is satisfactory.
