    Summary

    This case study shows that surgically sectioning bilateral double teeth in a 17-year-old male allowed for successful orthodontic alignment. The treated teeth remained vital after the procedure.

    • A 17-year-old male presented with bilateral geminated teeth in the anterior region (2|2).
    • The patient also exhibited significant upper arch crowding.

    Findings:

    • Surgical sectioning of the geminated teeth was performed.
    • Subsequent orthodontic treatment successfully aligned the dentition (321 123).
    • The sectioned teeth maintained their vitality post-procedure.

    Implications:

    • Surgical sectioning is a viable treatment option for managing geminated teeth.
    • This approach can facilitate successful orthodontic correction of dental crowding.
    • Preservation of tooth vitality is achievable with this combined surgical-orthodontic strategy.
