[Rare case of hypertaurodontism]

The author observed a rare case of hypertaurodontism on a right lower molar n degree 2, with an apex like a lion's paw, a very low root trifurcation, but a normal ratio between the coronary and the radicular lengths. This anomaly may be due to an absence of any sub-coronary horizontal invagination in the Hertwig sheath, which would be hereditarily transmitted.
