    Background:

    • Partial gastrectomy is a common surgical procedure for various upper gastrointestinal conditions.
    • Vitamin B12 deficiency can occur post-gastrectomy due to altered absorption.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To prospectively evaluate changes in serum vitamin B12 (S-B12) concentrations after partial gastrectomy.
    • To identify the incidence of vitamin B12 deficiency in patients following this surgery.
    • To assess factors influencing vitamin B12 levels post-gastrectomy.

    • Prophylactic vitamin B12 therapy should be considered for these patients to prevent deficiency.
