Abstract:
Eosinophilic granuloma is a destructive lesion of bone representing localized manifestations of histiocytosis X. The cause and pathogenesis remain unknown. A case is reported in which an 11-month-old patient had a destructive lesion of the proximal phalanx of her long finger. Solitary lesions of eosinophilic granuloma of the hand have not been previously described, and the age of this patient is particularly unusual.
