[Principles for making up pharmaceutical kits to supply cosmonauts with drug packs]

Pharmacological, pharmaceutical, clinical, physiological and other aspects of drug supply of cosmonauts are discussed. The procedure of choosing a drug to be included into the medical kit is illustrated by way of a new tranquilizer--a derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid. The data are presented to describe the contents of the medical kit and their use in the flight of Soyuz-19/Salyut-4.
