American Journal of Surgery
|September 1, 1983
Abstract:
A technique for elevating the rectal cuff and simplifying the construction of a low anastomosis is described. The proximal part of the stump is split into two longitudinal flaps and then easily pulled upward during the insertion of the sutures. Stitches are tied and step by step transverse division of the rectum performed.
