Computed tomographic demonstration of colonic carcinoma metastatic to the spleen

Metastasis to the spleen is a very uncommon medical entity. The author reports on unusual case of splenic metastasis originating from carcinoma of the colon demonstrated by computed tomography of the abdomen. The metastases appear as low density space occupying lesions which is a characteristic appearance seen in other metastases to the spleen.
