Growth of neural cell cultures in a chemically defined, serum-free culture medium
Neurochemical Research
|July 1, 1983
Abstract:
The composition of a serum-free, completely chemically defined culture medium which supports active growth of dissociated neural-cells in culture is described. This serum-free medium can also be used to grow many types of human cell lines without modification. It is the first report which describes the development of a wholly chemically defined, synthetic culture medium for growth of neural cells.
