    Area of Science:

    • Dermatopathology
    • Vascular Tumors
    • Soft Tissue Neoplasms

    Background:

    • Leiomyoblastoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor.
    • Vascular involvement by leiomyoblastoma is exceptionally uncommon.
    • This report details a unique presentation of leiomyoblastoma within cutaneous and subcutaneous vasculature.

    Observation:

    • A case of leiomyoblastoma involving dermal and subcutaneous veins and venules is presented.
    • The tumor exhibited characteristic smooth muscle morphology.
    • No other organ systems were involved.

    Findings:

    • Surgical excision was performed for the leiomyoblastoma.
    • Post-operative follow-up at 1.5 years revealed no evidence of tumor recurrence.
    • No metastatic disease was detected following treatment.

    Implications:

    • This case expands the known anatomical sites for leiomyoblastoma.
    • It highlights the importance of considering leiomyoblastoma in vascular lesions of the skin.
    • Complete surgical excision appears to be an effective treatment for this specific presentation.
