Abstract:
The size of the crushed cataractous bag was determined by measuring the diameters and widths of 50 cataracts removed by cryoextraction and then mathematically determining their individual areas and crushed bag size. These lenses had a collapsed bag size of 10.8 +/- 1.4 mm.
