Amelanotic melanoma presenting as Bowen's disease
Abstract:
Amelanotic melanoma is an uncommon clinical variant of malignant melanoma. Clinical diagnosis of such neoplasms is often difficult and requires a high index of suspicion. Although primary amelanotic melanoma usually presents as a vascular or ulcerated nodule, other unusual presentations have been noted. Described herein is a case of amelanotic melanoma presenting as Bowen's disease.
