    Summary

    This study investigated the role of endogenous opioids in spatial memory using rats. Results indicate that opioid system modulation did not significantly impact spatial memory retention in the radial maze task.

    Background:

    • Endogenous opioids are implicated in various cognitive functions.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To determine the involvement of endogenous opioid systems in spatial memory consolidation and retrieval.
    • To investigate the effects of opioid agonists and antagonists on spatial memory performance in rats.
