[The risk of diabetes after existing cholecystectomy]

Abstract:
No further increase of the risk of diabetes after cholecystectomy is shown in men. In the female sex the number of cases of diabetes may not be decreased by cholecystectomy, in particular, if an obesity occurs after the operation. From this is derived the demand for a normal nutrition after operations of the bile ducts.
