Primary immunodeficiency diseases (PID) in Japan show a strong association with ataxia-telangiectasia and malignant neoplasms. Japanese PID patients, excluding ataxia-telangiectasia, have shorter lifespans, leading to different cancer profiles compared to Western patients.
