    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate treatment outcomes for hip dislocation in patients with cerebral palsy.
    • To identify the most effective surgical interventions for painful hip dislocations in CP.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective review of 45 patients with cerebral palsy and hip dislocation.
    • Analysis of outcomes following different treatment modalities including observation, soft-tissue surgery, resection arthroplasty, and open reduction with femoral osteotomy.

    Main Results:

    • Some patients with hip dislocation achieved good outcomes without intervention.
    • Extensive resection arthroplasty yielded the best results for patients experiencing hip pain.
