    Background:

    • Approximately 1.3 million workers face potential occupational exposure to formaldehyde.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To assess the cancer risk associated with occupational formaldehyde exposure.
    • To evaluate the impact of reducing permissible exposure levels on worker health.
    • To compare current exposure levels with regulatory standards and acceptable risk benchmarks.

    Main Methods:

    • Quantitative risk assessment utilizing a multistage low-dose extrapolation model.
