    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate blood glycerol and free fatty acid concentrations in neonates during cold exposure.
    • To determine if these metabolites can serve as reliable biomarkers for cold stress in individual infants.

    • Blood samples were collected from healthy and sick 5-day-old infants.
    • Measurements of glycerol and free fatty acids were taken during and after cold exposure.
