    Background:

    • Fibronectin is a crucial extracellular matrix glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion and tissue development.
    • Previous studies suggest fibronectin plays a role in aging processes, but its age-dependent distribution in different tissues requires further investigation.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the age-related changes in fibronectin concentration in both serum and basement membranes (glomerular and alveolar) of bovines and rats.
    • To quantify the differential distribution of fibronectin in various tissues throughout the lifespan of these animal models.
