Personnel audits: conducting an attitude survey

A personnel audit is a management information tool which also fulfills a control need in health care organizations. If an audit is going to be effective, it should at least do the following: identify and quantify the costs and benefits associated with all programs and services offered by the personnel department to the rest of your organization; and document and communicate these costs and benefits in a clear, consistent and logical manner to top management for their use in decision-making.
