    Area of Science:

    • Child Psychology
    • Trauma Studies
    • Dissociative Disorders

    Background:

    • Child abuse is extensively studied, yet identifying potential multiple personality in children remains challenging.
    • Multiple personality (dissociative identity disorder) is rarely diagnosed before adulthood, hindering early intervention.

    Observation:

    • Four cases presented children claiming dual identity or exhibiting trance states during trauma-related questioning.
    • Children treated with an adult multiple personality integration program showed immediate symptom reduction and consciousness unification.

    Findings:

    • A list of 20 behavioral signs and 6 interview items were derived to help identify potential child multiples.
    • Treatment resulted in sustained improvements and positive personality changes in the children studied.

    Implications:

    • Early identification of child multiples is now more feasible for educators and professionals.
    • A systematic play therapy approach is detailed for personality integration in children.
    • Understanding family pathology is crucial for tailoring treatment strategies.
