Sequential rupture of extensor tendons after a Colles fracture
The Journal of Hand Surgery
|January 1, 1984
Abstract:
Rupture of the extensor pollicis longus tendon occurred 6 weeks after a Colles fracture. The condition was treated successfully by a tendon transfer, but spontaneous rupture of the extensor digitorum communis tendon to the long finger occurred 10 months after injury. The cause of these ruptures could not be established.
