    Observation:

    • A 16-year-old male presented with acute left lower extremity pain and weakness.
    • Initial diagnostic workup revealed a dissecting aortic aneurysm.

    Findings:

    • The patient underwent emergency aortic angiography followed by immediate surgical repair of the aortic aneurysm.
    • Despite prompt medical and surgical intervention, the patient demised on the fifth postoperative day.

    Implications:

    • This case highlights the critical need for heightened clinical suspicion for dissecting aortic aneurysm in adolescents presenting with suggestive symptoms.
    • Early diagnosis and rapid, multidisciplinary intervention, including advanced imaging and surgical management, are paramount for potentially improving survival rates in this pediatric demographic.
    • Further research into risk factors and optimal management strategies for adolescent aortic dissection is warranted.
