    Summary

    This case study highlights recurrent kidney failure in pregnancy caused by bilateral ureteral obstruction. Prompt intervention with ureteral catheter and nephrostomy stabilized renal function, allowing the pregnancy to continue.

    • Patients with a history of urologic surgery require vigilant monitoring for renal failure from mechanical obstruction during pregnancy.
    • Prophylactic ureteral catheterization and antimicrobial therapy may benefit women with a history of pregnancy-related ureteral obstruction in subsequent gestations.
