Abstract:
Cancer patient education shares many of the challenges associated with patient education for any chronic disease. Some issues, however, gain special significance when the diagnosis is cancer. This article provides concise information about the educational needs of cancer patients, factors affecting patient learning, and assessment of patient needs.
