[Roentgen diagnosis of malignant lymphomas]
Abstract:
In all groups of malignant lymphomas, accurate staging before onset of therapy and follow-up controls during and after therapy are mandatory. Non-invasive examination methods for assessing the abdominal and thoracal lymph node sites are: conventional x-ray films of the thorax in two planes with fluoroscopy, tomography and esophagography, as well as computed tomography and sonography. Lymphography is an invasive method of x-ray diagnostics which should be used primarily if the histology is unknown, since this method permits not only to assess the lymph node size, but also the storage structure.
