    Summary

    Survival rates for nonimmune hydrops fetalis (NIHF) are variable. Severe sonographic features in 27 fetuses predicted neither survival nor prognosis, with only 33% surviving neonatally.

    Background:

    • Nonimmune hydrops fetalis (NIHF) presents a significant challenge in fetal medicine.

    • To evaluate the prognostic value of severe sonographic features in nonimmune hydrops fetalis.
    • To assess the survival rates and outcomes for neonates diagnosed with severe NIHF.

    • Retrospective analysis of 27 fetuses diagnosed with severe sonographic features of NIHF.
    • Assessment of neonatal survival rates and long-term prognosis for survivors.
