Systemic sporotrichosis with osteomyelitis

We report a patient with systemic sporotrichosis and osteomyelitis without concomitant suppurative arthritis. To our knowledge this is the first such documented occurrence of hematogenous osteomyelitis in the systemic form of the disease. It was diagnosed by radionuclide bone scintigraphy and radiography and confirmed by biopsy.
