Cystic lymphangioma of the scrotum: a case report

A 17-year-old man was seen for progressive enlargement of a right scrotal mass that had been present since early childhood. Excisional biopsy of an enlarged inguinal lymph node revealed a cystic lymphangioma. The scrotal mass was excised and contained the same pathological process. Lymphangiomas are benign tumors of congenital origin, occurring mostly in children. They are found relatively infrequently in the scrotum. Treatment consists of surgical excision. Unless completely removed, recurrences are common.
