Testicular epidermoid cysts are rare growths. These cysts likely originate from teratomas, with excellent prognoses following surgical removal.

Background:

Epidermoid cysts are rare germ cell tumors.
Testicular tumors require accurate histogenesis understanding for treatment.

Observation:

Reported are two cases of testicular epidermoid cysts.
Histogenesis of testicular, ovarian, and splenic epidermoid cysts were analyzed.

Findings:

Testicular epidermoid cysts are likely of teratoid origin.
Ovarian and splenic epidermoid cysts share similar developmental pathways.

Implications:

The prognosis for testicular epidermoid cysts is excellent.
Limited excision or orchidectomy are effective treatment options.
