Radiography
|May 1, 1984
Abstract:
The psychological aspects of patient care have been taught at the Staffordshire School of Radiography for two years. Experiential learning techniques have been employed, alongside more traditional learning methods. The reasons for the use of these techniques are outlined in this article, together with details of the content and timing of the course. The advantages and pitfalls of experiential techniques are identified and the question of assessment of this topic is offered for consideration. The article is followed by two detailed examples of students' project work in which they apply some of the methods described.
