    Summary

    A new radioimmunoassay (RIA) system for human myoglobin (hMb) was developed. This assay accurately measures hMb levels in normal subjects and patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) or thyroid dysfunction.

    Background:

    • Human myoglobin (hMb) is a protein found in muscle tissue.
