The selection of sun-blocking topical agents to protect the skin
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
|August 1, 1978
Abstract:
A simple method, based on scientific evidence, for the selection of a proper sun protective agent has been presented. To make it even easier, the surgeon need only look for a product containing both PABA and titanium dioxide. The author is aware there may be many other fine products available but not mentioned here, and some of those mentioned here serve the purpose for which they were designed but may not do all the things the plastic surgeon desires. In any event, the statements made herein should not be construed as an endorsement of one product over another.
