    • CSF analysis showed increased polymorphs and protein, with normal glucose and no bacteria.

    Findings:

    • Bacterial contamination was ruled out.
    • Symptoms resolved within three days of antibiotic treatment.
    • The syndrome is hypothesized to result from direct toxic effects of the injected substances.

    Implications:

    • This reaction mimics bacterial meningitis but is aseptic.
    • Similar non-infectious reactions occur after spinal anesthesia and other intrathecal substances.
