Phenytoin: ineffective against acute mountain sickness.
Phenytoin did not significantly alleviate symptoms of acute mountain sickness (AMS) in a hypobaric chamber study. The medication showed no benefit for headache, nausea, or other AMS indicators, and some participants experienced increased weakness and dizziness.
