Abstract:
Ethology has advanced to the point where it is possible to draw some tentative comparisons between humans and other species of animals. In general, the dangers of attempting to explain findings in one species by comparing them with the findings from another species have been well documented. These dangers are inherent in the following discussion. Nevertheless, the present comparisons seem to allow additional understanding of what is occurring in the human group which has been studied.
