[Changes in rat polynuclear leukocyte chemotaxis during experimental]
Abstract:
Specific receptor sites for the chemotactic peptide F-Met-Leu-Phe had been demonstrated on polymorphonuclear leucocytes isolated from Rats presenting, or not, an acute inflammatory reaction. A significant decrease of the chemotactic responsiveness of inflammatory cells had been measured by two different methods of assessment performed in parallel. This phenomenon is not related to a loss of peptide binding sites but an increase of adhesiveness would be implied in this mechanism.
