Summary

Dynamite workers exposed to nitrate esters, including nitroglycol and nitroglycerine, showed elevated mortality from chronic cardio-cerebrovascular diseases. Exposure levels in one factory ranged from 0.2-1.1 mg/m3 between 1958-1978.
