    Summary

    Thyroid function, assessed by radioiodine uptake and thyroxin levels, showed no significant differences in patients with benign breast diseases or breast cancer. Dynamic hormone testing after thyrotrophin-releasing hormone stimulation also revealed no significant variations among disease groups.
