    • This prompted a canine study to investigate the link between renal pelvic coagulum injection and thrombo-embolic events.

    • Canine subjects showed positive lung scans, indicating thrombo-embolic phenomena.
    • The incidence of positive lung scans correlated with the volume of coagulum injected and thrombin concentration.

    Implications:

    • The findings suggest a potential risk of thrombo-embolic complications with coagulum pyelolithotomy.
