    Background:

    • Monocrotaline is known to cause pulmonary hypertension.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the early effects of monocrotaline on pulmonary alveolar-capillary membrane permeability.
    • To determine the role of monocrotaline's active metabolite, pyrrole, in these effects.
