Disturbances in regulation of circulation dependent vagovasal syncope in combination with fright-shock-syncope or psychasthenic faint can easily be controlled. General treatment like lying down and elevation of the legs is required. The use of medicaments is rarely indicated. Precise recognition of the symptoms is necessary to differentiate against more serious causes of a sudden faint.
