Abstract:
Should patients with menstrual dysfunction but without obvious uterine pathology be considered for thyrotoxin-releasing hormone (TRH) testing? In several cases described here, and apparent relationship between menstrual disturbance and minimal thyroid insufficiency was documented by the patients' dramatic response to treatment with levothyroxine.
