[Realization of anterior symelia by direct action on the chick embryo]

Cadmium acetate in acid solution (pH 5,8) is deposited on 42 hrs. old Chick embryos. This treatment determines the appearance of strophosomy, sometimes accompanied by anterior symelia. This monstrosity seems to be a secondary effect of strophosomy.
